Description - Description: Background:According to the Family Protection Authority (FPA), 850 cases of domestic violence (DV) were reported in 2022 (650 survivors were female, 186 were male and 14 unspecified). The National Study on Women’s Health and Life Exper iences (2007) indicated that one in 3 women reported to have experienced some form of violence in their lifetimes in the Maldives.
