Description - Description: The Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development (the department) forfeited the Island Tourism Lease from GKI Resorts Pty Ltd. Subsequently the department became the Trustee for 16 land parc els on Great Keppel Island (GKI). Two of the land parcels relate to marine areas i.e., proposed marina site adjacent to Putney Beach, and an underwater observatory in waters to the south of Middle Island.
