Description - Description: The BLS Group has around 80,000 stock items, some of which are procured abroad. A large proportion of the items are exported to be repaired, maintained or refurbished abroad. This is usually a repair operation. In addition, the BLS has i ts own freight and ballast wagons built abroad, which are equipped with additional materials provided by the BLS. The BLS therefore acts as an importer and exporter in Switzerland in international trade in goods. It does not generally handle customs formalities abroad.
