Description - Description: Glenveagh National Park contains a number of invasive plant species which pose a threat to sensitive habitats such as blanket bog, heaths and woodlands. As part of the park’s Invasive Species Management Plan (2024-2028) areas of the pa rk containing invasive species have been identified and divided into manageable blocks. This tender process is for the clearance of invasive species in a selection of these blocks over a five-year period. The successful contractor is expected to have the block cleared of flowering plants by the end of the 2nd year to inhibit the reseeding cycle.
