Description - Description: The section 8B, as part of the major Karlsruhe-Basel project, envisages the expansion of the existing Rhine Valley Railway between Teningen and Buggingen (Str 4000 km 186.7+60 to km 231.2+00) over a distance of around 45 km. The route is to be upgraded to up to 200 km/h. This requires a track extension, the conversion/dismantling of transport stations, the renewal/new construction of engineering structures and the construction of new noise barriers.
