Description - Description: The main building of the Kunstmuseum Basel (built in 1936) and the so-called "annex" will be extensively renovated in the coming years. A comprehensive risk analysis concluded that a complete closure of the building complex during the co nstruction phase is preferable to a phased approach with temporary structures and enclosures. During the resulting "special use phase", the museum will continue to offer an attractive program at the remaining expansion and present locations. The existing functions and uses of the main building and annex will be temporarily housed in the existing property or in suitable temporary structures during the special use phase (SNP) from 2029 to 2033.loca
