Description - Description: N-ERGIE supplies Nuremberg and Schwaig with drinking water from five different extraction areas. The average water output is currently around 95,000 cubic meters per day. N-ERGIE provides around 70 percent of its annual drinking water re quirements from its own waterworks. N-ERGIE obtains the remaining 30 percent from the Franconian Economic Area Water Supply Association (WFW) via a long-distance pipeline from the Genderkingen waterworks. Several downpipes lead from the raised tanks into the city area as feed-in points. From 1880 onwards, the Lorenz downpipe was built with a total length of around 4.2 km from the Schmausenbuck raised tank to the Lorenz district. A section made of
