Description - Description: BGR is carrying out a research cruise with a seismic reflection survey with the German RV MARIA S. MERIAN in the Norwegian Barents Sea. This research cruise MSM137 with the project acronym MIBAS is aiming to record a seismic image of mag matic intrusions within the sedimentary column.The survey starts on May 10th 2025 in Reykjavik, Island, and will end on June 13th 2025 in Reykjavik. During the survey, seismic reflection and refraction profiles will be acquired for a period of approximately 23 days using a 6 km long 2D-streamer and several ocean bottom seismometers.The seismic source array is a tuned G-gun array, consisting of 16 G-guns arranged in two strings (port side and star
