Description - Description: This market consultation focusses on the requirements for a Fibre Optic Cable Measurement System as part of TenneT’s 2GW Program.Under this initiative, TenneT aims to construct at least 14 high-voltage direct current (HVDC) offshore gr id connection systems, each with a transmission capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW), in the Dutch and German North Sea by 2031.The 2GW Program will significantly contribute to the offshore wind energy and climate targets of the Netherlands, Germany, and Europe.Upon completion, it will provide green wind energy to up to 35 million households, delivering a total capacity of 28 GW.
