Description - Description: The BOLLÈNE facility has a unique upstream Safety Valve (also called VS) device that can cut off the flow on a Group in a few minutes in the event of a loss of control (runaway) of one of the 6 turbo-alternators in this plant. It thus c onstitutes the ultimate hydraulic safety barrier of the facility. The BOLLÈNE plant/lock is located on the Rhône; it is located on the DONZÈRE MONDRAGON facility. It is composed of 6 Kaplan-type vertical turbo-alternators with a total power of 354 MW as well as 6 dischargers. With the adjoining lock, it forms a structure approximately 250 m long.
