The National Water Monitoring Network (LMW) is responsible for real-time monitoring of water levels, current v elocities, discharges, waves, several water quality parameters and meteorological information at approximately 500 representative locations in the North Sea, Wadden Sea, estuaries (widened river mouths), rivers, lakes and canals.
