Description - Description: The current bridge connects the towns of Neuville and Albigny, it was built in 1931 to replace the original structure dating from 1831 (located upstream). The Albigny-Neuville bridge is the only reinforced concrete Bow-String bridge in t he Lyon metropolitan area. This structure is made up of five spans: the three main spans are bow-string type and the two lateral access spans are multiple beam bridges under the roadway. The central span was dynamited in September 1944 and rebuilt identically after the war. The structure is experiencing progressive structural disorders on essential parts (archs, hangers, deck, bearings, abutments), with a state of severe damage due to generalized
