Description - Description: The De Steeg purification plant extracts and purifies bank groundwater (OGW) and deep groundwater (DGW) in the area around Langerak. In the past, organic micropollutants (OMPs), in particular bentazone, were found in the OGW. To remove t hese OMPs, activated carbon filtration was introduced in the OGW. These OMPs are now also found in the DGW. Due to an increasing trend in the bentazone concentration in the DGW, it appears that in ~2025 the legal standard <0.1 µg/l for bentazone in drinking water will also be exceeded in the DGW. The aim of this tender is to arrive at a new carbon filter building to bring the bentazone concentration below the company standard of <0.05 µg/
