Description - Description: The Hamburg Church of St. Johannis-Harvestehude is located not far from the western bank of the Externalster. It was built in 1880-1882 by Wilhelm Hauers in the style of neo-Gothic. In 1903 the original slate cover of the roof and the to wers was replaced by copper. The Church survived the Second World War completely undamaged, a great exception among the churches in downtown Hamburg.
