Description - Description: As the operator of the national road network, the task of the Hungarian Public Roads Nonprofit Zrt. is to de-ice roads in winter and to clear snow. One of the main raw materials for de-ice (in addition to NaCl) is the aqueous solution of CaCl2. Its use extends to wetting dry salt spray (in order to achieve adhesion and preventive protection) and to protection against slippery conditions in extreme cold.
