OF INTEREST FOR OPERATION OF PRIVATE / PERSONAL BOATS / YACHTS IN
THE RIVER SABARMATI.

I. SABARMATI RIVERFRONT – A RIVER, REIMAGINED:
• Ahmedabad, located in western India on the banks of the River Sabarmati, is the largest
city in the State of Gujarat. Sabarmati River has been an integral part in the life of
Ahmedabad since the time the city was founded in 1411 along the river banks.
• The Sabarmati Riverfront Development has reconnected the City with the River and
positively transformed the neglected aspects of the Riverfront.
• The Project has provided Ahmedabad with a meaningful Waterfront environment along
the banks of the Sabarmati River and has redefined the identity of Ahmedabad around
the River.
• The identity of Ahmedabad has got redefined by re-connecting its River to the City.
The Project has created a People centric network of Parks and Gardens, Waterside
Promenades, Event facilities, Biodiversity Park, Atal Bridge, Sports Complex etc. in
the heart of the Ahmedabad City. Various other important development works like
Multilevel Car Parking are under progress.
• Various Water activities are happening at Sabarmati Riverfront like:
1. Boating at Vallabh Sadan,
2. Kayaking at Ghat No. 11 near Sardar Bridge towards Ambedkar Bridge.
• Various Water activities are going to start soon like:
1. Floating Restaurant/River Cruise between Sardar Bridge to Gandhi Bridge –
Work Order issued to Akshar Travels Pvt. Ltd.
2. Boating at Vallabh Sadan
3. Boating at Ghat No. 4 between Dadhichi Bridge and Gandhi Bridge,
Riverfront – West
4. Boating at Ghat at Upstream of Dadhichi Bridge, Riverfront – East.
II. SCHEDULE OF EOI ISSUANCE & SUBMISSION:
This document is provided solely for the purpose of enabling the Interested
individuals/entities to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) for operation of
Private / Personal Boats/Yachts in the River Sabarmati to SRFDCL.
Interested individuals/entities may on their own make such other investigations or
seek such clarifications as they deem necessary, including but not limited to water
depth, feasibility and necessary changes on the site and overall nature of SRFD
Project.
This is an initial Expression of Interest and does not entitle the Interested
individuals/entities to receive any documents or to be invited for any kind of
association in Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project.
The SRFDCL does not envisage water level to hold throughout the year. In case of
flood situation, the owner has to take out their Boats/Yacht at an appropriate
location of theirs and at their own cost to avoid any damage or loss due to flood.
The Boat/Yacht may be stopped for certain period of time due to flood situation or
unavailability of water, if any.
In case the Boats/Yachts has to be removed due to any maintenance/repair of
bridge(s), lower promenade by any authority due to over flooding, planned release
of excess water or due to any reason whatsoever, in such case the Boat/Yacht owner
shall not claim dues from SRFDCL for the loss, whatsoever.
The indicative timeline for the EOI process in outline is as follows:

III. CONTENTS OF EOI:
The Interested individuals/entities shall submit the EOI containing the following:

Annexure - B and Annexure - C shall be submitted at the Office of SRFDCL at

nd Floor, Riverfront House, behind HK Arts College, between Gandhi and Nehru
Bridge, Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj Marg (Riverfront - West), Ahmedabad -
380009, Gujarat on or before 27-06-2023 till 16:00 hrs.

V. DISCLAIMER:
SRFDCL does not envisage water level to hold throughout the year. The dry period
may vary. In case of flood situation, Licensee has to take out their Boats/Yachts or
any other deployment at an appropriate location of theirs and at their own cost to
avoid any damage or loss due to flood. The operation may be closed for certain
period of time due to flood situation, if any.
Interested individual/entities shall consider the water depth, feasibility and
necessary changes on the site and overall nature of SRFD Project, water released
from Narmada Canal for irrigation purpose and situation of Flood during the
Monsoon season on its own cost before and during the operations. SRFDCL shall
not be responsible for the same. The interested individual/entities shall also consider
other water sports/recreational activities that are operating in River Sabarmati
before the start of their operation.
The information contained in this Expression of Interest (“EOI”) Document,
whether verbally or in documentary or in any other form, by or on behalf of
Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd. (SRFDCL), or any of their
employees or consultants, in this EOI Document and such other information and
terms & conditions as SRFDCL may prescribe in this behalf, has been prepared
solely to assist the interested individual/entities to formulate their
interests/proposals. This EOI Document is not an agreement and is not an offer or
invitation by SRFDCL on behalf of AMC to any individual/entities.
As mentioned above, the purpose of this EOI Document is to provide the
individual/entities with information to assist in the formulation of their
