Description - Description: The Jennings Randolph Lake Project is located on the upper reaches of the North Branch of the Potomac River near Elk Garden, WV, about eight miles upstream of the confluence of the Potomac with the Savage River. The project is operated f or water quality improvement, water supply, flood control and recreation. The dam impounds a lake of 952 surface acres and controls a drainage area of 263 square miles on the border between Garrett County, Maryland and Mineral County,West Virginia.
