Description - Description: The province of Drenthe has 201 permanent measuring points for motorized traffic along the provincial roads. These measuring points register 24 hours a day for 365 days a year, among other things, the number of vehicles that pass, the ve hicle length and speed. A measuring point consists of detection loops in the road surface that are connected to the measuring equipment in the roadside. The latter measuring equipment consists of a counting cabinet on a pole (with a roadsideer, modem, batteries, SIM card and software) and also a pole with two solar panels of 6 volts.
