Description - Description: The Seelingstädt water treatment plant (WBA) was put into operation in 2002. Its task is to treat contaminated water before it is discharged into the receiving water. The plant consists of 3 treatment lines and works according to the pr inciple of modified lime precipitation. In order to separate uranium, the first step is to remove the bicarbonate. To do this, the pH value is lowered to 3.5 by adding 33% hydrochloric acid. In the next step, FeCl3, BaCl2 solution is added and the pH value is raised again to approx. 7 - 8 by adding milk of lime.
