Community Based Organizations (CLF/VO) promoted by Jeevika
1. Introduction
Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), popularly known as JEEViKA, a
registered society under the aegis of Rural Development Department, Government
of Bihar. The aim of JEEViKA is to improve rural livelihood options and it works
towards social and economic empowerment of the rural poor and women by
promoting self-managed community institutions and further strengthening their
livelihoods.
JEEViKA is implementing Backyard Poultry intervention under “Intergraded Poultry
Development Scheme”; Government of Bihar. In FY 2023-24, a total 11,948 HH
has to be provided with 28 days old reared 45 low input variety coloured birds.
CBOs like Cluster Level Federation (CLF) / Nodal Village Organisation (VO) will
procure the 28 days old reared birds through community procurement process and
these CBOs would procure approximately 5.4 lakh DOCs in the FY 2023-24.
Sealed quotation is invited for preparation of Rate Bank for Procurement of Four
Weeks old (Low Input Technology - LIT) Coloured Poultry Chicks for FY 2023-24
and 2024-25 for Community Based Organizations promoted by Bihar Rural
Livelihoods Promotion Society as per the specifications mentioned in the document.

3. Validity
The rate bank shall remain valid for the financial year 2023-24 or till finalization of
the next rate bank whichever is earlier. If adoption of next approved list is delayed
beyond the financial year 2023-24, the terms, conditions and the approved price
of the item may be extended for a period as desired by the CEO, Bihar Rural
Livelihoods Promotion Society on recommendation of the Livestock Theme.
4. Terms and Condition
a. The interested agency is required to submit the technical and financial quotation
separately for Rate Bank for Procurement of Four Weeks Reared (Low Input
Technology - LIT) Coloured Poultry Chicks) which they intend to supply and
then these two envelopes are to be put in one common envelope super-scribed
"Quotation for Procurement of Four Weeks Reared (Low Input Technology –
LIT) Coloured Poultry Chicks"- 2023-24. The technical envelope will be opened
first and after verification of technical details, financial quotation will be opened
of technically qualified firms only.
b. Quotation should be submitted in the office of Jeevika, BIHAR RURAL
LIVELIHOODS PROMOTION SOCIETY, Vidyut Bhawan, Annexe-II, 3rd
Floor (Southern Wing), Bailey Road Patna-800 021, Bihar, Phone No/Fax: +91-
612-2504980/60 or by Registered post/Speed post by or before 09.05.2023 till
05.00 PM.
c. The quotation received after due date and time will not be entertained
whatsoever may be the reason.
d. In the event of the above-mentioned date being declared as a holiday/closed
day, the quotation will be accepted on the very next working day at the
scheduled / appointed time.
e. The technical and financial quotation form, technical description/ specification
and terms & conditions can be downloaded from official website i.e.
www.brlps.in.
f. The authority reserves the right to reject / cancel the procurement process at
any stage without assigning any reason thereof.
5. Dispute settlement
Any legal dispute is subject of Patna jurisdiction only.
