Description - Description: The Blayais raw water pipeline, owned by the Gironde Department, supplies the primary and secondary cooling circuits of the Blayais nuclear power plant (CNPE) from the Galgon sur l'Isle pumping station by delivering raw water under press ure. It also supplies five agricultural irrigation structures along its 52 km route and responds punctually to the needs of the municipalities for fire protection. The pipeline is emptied annually for two days, for this purpose dedicated drainage structures are positioned on the pipeline, their outlets are streams.
