It is caused by both natural and manmade problems. Ethiopia has been hosting refug ees since 1990s and currently, the country ranked third in Africa, home to 1,066,842 refugees and asylum seekers (as of August 2024) mainly from South Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea, and Sudan. The refugee situation in Ethiopia is characterized by both protracted displacement and ongoing emergencies.
