Description - Description: Located in the West of the Ile-de-France region, the Seine-Maritime Department is part of the Normandy region. It has 1.2 million inhabitants and covers 6,278 km². Since 1985, the Departments have had exclusive authority to implement a policy to preserve natural environments and landscapes. This implementation is based on the provisions of the Urban Planning Code, articles L 113-8 et seq.
