| Description | Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU), Nagapattinam proposes to engage reputed Ornamental fish culturists involved in the production of aquarium fishes for a period of 11 months by “leasing / renting out the shop facilities in Aquatic Rainbow Mall (ARM)” located inside the TNJFU Madhavaram campus for the year 2024-25. Expression of Interest (EOI) for the purpose is invited from the interested parties. The EOI prepared in accordance with the procedure given shall reach the Dean, Dr. MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri, Thiruvallur District, before 3.00 PM on 15.05.2024. The EOI is valid for a period of 15 days from the date of opening. 1. Introduction of Aquatic Rainbow Mall (ARM) Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University established an Aquatic Rainbow Mall (ARM) at its Madhavaram campus located near Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai - 600 051. The ARM is established with a State of art infrastructure facility for trading of high value ornamental fishes (indigenous and exotic) and other Ornamental accessories viz. aquatic plants, aquarium tanks and accessories, feeds, drugs, filters, aerators etc. The ARM serves also as the trading hub for the sale of high value ornamental fishes produced by traders as well as incubatees of Aquatic Rainbow Technology Park (ARTP) at TNJFU Madhavaram Campus to augment the international Ornamental fish trade. The ARM provides a good platform for the naturalist fish hobbyist /biologists, guides and other ornamental fish traders, and service staff to showcase their fishes or products. An increase of visitors to ARM creates high demand for ornamental fishes and other related services in domestic market. |
