Description - Description: ONR inspectors undertake inspections of all UK nuclear licensed sites, and dutyholders who transport radioactive material, which provides for the potential exposure to a wide energy spectrum of ionising radiation. As a result, ONR is loo king to manage the risks of exposure of its employees carrying out their duties.It is ONR policy that all inspectors and visiting staff (around 450 people) are issued with personal dosemeters (currently Thermoluminescent Dosemeter (TLD)), which are monitored quarterly to identify exposure to ionising radiation.
