Description - Description: Hirsholmene is an archipelago in the northern Kattegat, located approximately 7 km northeast of Frederikshavn. The Norwegian Nature Agency owns and manages Hirsholmene. There are no longer permanent residents on the island of Hirsholm, w here the ferry docks. There are currently 16 homes that are owned by the Danish Nature Agency and are rented out exclusively for leisure purposes. The Norwegian Nature Agency provides ferry service via the supplier to visitors and day-trippers in agreement with Frederikshavn Municipality.
