Description - Description: Since 2006, Scandinavian kindergarten research has been mapped, quality assessed and published in the Nordic Base for Early Childhood Education and Care (NB-ECEC) database. The work has been important for following developments in the fi eld and for identifying areas in need of research. Not least, it has given actors in the nursery field at all levels an updated basis for making knowledge-based decisions. This applies both to students, personnel in the kindergartens, owners and authorities.
