Description - Description: The city is committed to providing a safe crossing on Augustijnenstraat, near the Vrijbosroute. It is proposed to provide the crossing on a traffic plateau. Nearby is the intersection Augustijnenstraat x Sportstraat. There are two traffi c islands at this intersection, which are regularly hit. The oblique location of the Augustijnenstraat compared to the intersection ensures that vehicles drive to the crossing without much speed inhibition. The traffic island closest to the Sportstraat ensures that cyclists are not allowed to use the Augustijnenstraat between Sportstraat and Haiglaan in the opposite direction.
