The access viaduct to the stopover pier, an Eiffel-type rail-road structure, was put into service in 1939. Since 2013, the port has undertaken several expertises to f urther the diagnosis of the structure in order to control the general condition of the structure and to initiate a multi-year program of rehabilitation works on the maritime part of the viaduct.
