Description - Description: The assignment concerns the remediation of the former white lead factory located on Heulsekasteelstraat in Kortrijk. Lead contamination occurs in the solid part of the earth throughout the site. For this contamination, the unpaved parts of the site must be excavated to a depth of 70 cm. This concerns approximately 5,100 tons that require physicochemical cleaning. The core zone, where the former oil storage and engine room was located, is contaminated with lead, MO and BTEX in the solid part and with MO, BTEX and trichloroethylene in the groundwater.
