Description - Description: Alunda Wastewater Treatment Plant needs to be rebuilt and expanded to be able to receive more wastewater from an expected population increase. The increase is from 2,000 pe (person equivalents) to 3,500 pe. The building will be expanded and the process will be changed. The existing process currently consists of pretreatment, biological treatment in an activated sludge plant (aeration basin and intermediate sedimentation) and chemical treatment in flocculation basins and final sedimentation.
