Description - Description: HHNK maintains its own water barriers (dikes). These are mowed approximately twice a year, with the (clean) cuttings being left in bales on the water barriers. The current cuttings are removed by a contractor and then composted. The amou nt of this cuttings is approximately 795,000 kg per year. In addition to the (clean) cuttings, green waste is released from, for example, the duckweed fence cleaners. This green waste is composted on our site. This compost is removed once a year by a contractor and amounts to approximately 700,000 kg per year.
