Description - Description: The town of Kronach intends to renovate the historic town wall in Kronach. The oldest sections of the town wall that are still preserved date back to the 13th century. They were built as masonry, mainly from sandstone blocks. To this day , several gates and towers have been preserved alongside the wall, some of which have wooden battlements. The entire town wall, including the gates and towers, is a listed building and is part of the old town ensemble of the town of Kronach. The entire town wall is approximately 836 m long, with an average height of 8 m.
