Description - Description: The town hall in Bocholt was planned as a single building for an administrative and cultural centre on an artificial island in the Aa river. This dual function is reflected in the two-part architectural design of the entire complex: whil e the administrative wing was designed as a large-scale glazed grid construction with eleven green-framed steel supports standing in the water on each of the long sides, the theatre wing was designed as a closed, sculptural solid concrete structure clad in light red bricks.
