Description - Description: The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain a 1- year contract vehicle for repair of the E-3 Recording Control Unit to support user requirements. The E-3 Recording Control Unit (E-3 RCU) or Control Panel consists of a Digital Flight Da ta Recorder (DFDR), a Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), and a Crash Position Locator (CPL) control unit. The E-3 RCU is used to operate and test the DFDR, CVR, and CPL. The DFDR records aircraft operating parameters such as altitude, attitude, power lever angle and significant events such as CPL activation. The CVR is utilized to record flight crew communication.
