Description - Description: The USGS Conte Anadromous Fish Lab Facility located in Turners Falls, MA has a requirement for the repairs of a leaking underground water line for Burrows Pond. The Conte Lab has a series of 3-8' deep concrete burrows ponds for fisheries holding and experimentation, referred to as the "upper burrows ponds". They are supplied by gravity fed water piping originating at the nearby power canal. Each pond has two 6" PVC supply lines, located at opposite corners. The main supply line is a 12" PVC pipe, there are 5-12"x6" tees with 6" butterfly valves and, at the end of the supply pipe, one 12"x6" reducer, then a "6 90 and a 6" butterfly valve.
