Description - Description: The Karlsruhe-Basel route is part of the European Rhine-Alpine corridor and one of the busiest routes in Germany. The plan is to expand the existing Rhine Valley Railway (Rtb) between Riegel and Müllheim to up to 200 km/h. The expansion includes the necessary exploration measures in section 8B with the planning approval sections 8.5 - 8.9. The investigation area extends to around 45 km along the existing section of the Rhine Valley Railway, both on railway-owned land and on public/private land.
