Description - Description: In 2019, the WA Government announced an aspirational target to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 and is currently considering 2035 interim emission targets in response to public expectations for taking significant action to reduce emiss ions this decade. Transport was responsible for 14.6 Mt (18%) of WA’s GHG emissions, with road transport accounting for around 75% (approximately 10.9 Mt) of the sector’s emissions in 2022 (Paris Agreement inventory | ANGA).
