Description - Description: McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) is the premier bomb loading facility for the Department of Defense (DOD) and the sole-source of PBX (plastic bonded explosive) loaded general purpose (GP) and penetrator bombs used by the United St ates Navy and Air Force. Building 190 is the initial prep facility for MCAAP’s “A-Plant” bomb production line. 2,000 lbs bomb bodies begin the production process here, where they are transferred to various prep stations by a powered overhead monorail before explosives fill, final assembly and palletization.
