Request for Proposal – Content Writers We are looking for Content Writers for the year 2023-24 who are creatively sound and can help us in meeting the demands of various communication/outreach products with their creative inputs and narrations. About WaterAid India: Established in 1981, WaterAid has its operations in 38 countries worldwide, transforming millions of lives every year with safe water, sanitation, and hygiene, and working in India since 1986. Since 2010, WaterAid India (WAI) is registered as Jal Seva Charitable Foundation (JSCF), a not-for-profit company under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, and is an associate member of WaterAid International. Across India, WAI’s presence is in 13 states, covering 39 districts. While JSCF’s goal is universal access to WASH, its work is prioritized from the locations of the excluded and most marginalized communities. JSCF works on themes such as drinking water security, sanitation, WASH in health and nutrition, WASH in schools, and Menstrual Hygiene Management, in rural areas and in urban locations including census, small and medium towns. JSCF’s head office is located in New Delhi. Each state is managed through state offices. State offices are located in Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Apart from its own programs, JSCF’s work also focuses on WASH policy and advocacy, both at national and state levels. Deliverables/Scope of Work: The content writer should be able to - Support in documenting case studies in the following one/ many languages -English, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu (as and when required) Can work on raw/draft stories. Case Studies writing from raw information/calls/audio etc. Can research and produce articles for the team on topics relevant to WASH. Can write blogs on issues related to WASH. Should be able to produce reports for the team. Support the social media team with writing post copies for digital platforms. Is able to travel to 1-2 locations. (Please note that the cost of travel shall be borne by WaterAid India). Since we work in rural and urban settings it is desirable if the applicant is proficient in more than one language and should hold command of any one of the regional languages mentioned above.
