Description - In response to the passage of House Bill (HB) 718, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) is tasked with phasing out the currently used temporary paper license plates by July 1, 2025, and replacing them with metal license plates to better com bat and deter fraud. As part of this RFI, TxDMV is requesting responses be submitted that propose a statewide inventory management system that securely tracks metal license plates from our Huntsville production facility to counties and motor vehicle dealerships throughout the state of Texas.
