Request for Proposal We are looking for videographers for the year 2024-25 based in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Chennai, Hyderabad and Karnataka who can travel to rural and urban areas to capture WaterAid India’s intervention from time to time as and when required. About WaterAid India: WaterAid India (WAI) is registered as Jal Seva Charitable Foundation (JSCF), a not-for-profit company under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, and is an associate member of WaterAid International. Across India, WAI’s presence is in 11 states, covering more than 40 districts. While JSCF’s goal is universal access to WASH, its work is prioritized from the locations of the excluded and most marginalized communities. JSCF works on themes such as drinking water security, sanitation, WASH in health and nutrition, WASH in schools, and Menstrual Hygiene Management, in rural areas and in urban locations including census, small and medium towns. JSCF’s head office is located in New Delhi. Each state is managed through state offices. State offices are located in Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Apart from its own programs, JSCF’s work also focuses on WASH policy and advocacy, both at national and state levels. Deliverables/ Scope of work Video brief will be shared before the start of assignment and will need to be adhered to. A timeline and schedule based on the brief will be developed and shared by the consultant. The production could range from audio, video, animation or similar products based on the brief shared by WaterAid India. The videographer/ agency has to deliver final videos; audio files; any other tasks, after feedback and consultation with members of the Media and Communications team. Capture through compelling shots and bytes, keeping in view the work of WaterAid India. The video will need to capture the present state of the area/issues/people. The video will need to document interviews of the subject and the situation of water, sanitation and hygiene along with other aspects in the designated location. Videos will need to be accompanied by subtitles where possible and available of the issues or people being documented. The videographer will have to travel to the project intervention sites to cover the stories. WaterAid India will manage the logistics for travel/hotel/cabs and recommend the districts for documentation. The videographer will need to obtain model or property releases depicted in video where possible and applicable and provide a copy of the same to WaterAid India after the assignment. The videographer will need to adhere to Water Aid’s Ethical Image Policy as part of any assignment. The shots used should be crisp and clear with uncluttered backgrounds. While some close-up shots are good, we also need to shoot various activities that support the documentation / story being narrated. Please make sure to capture general views of the location that you will see with WaterAid India. Where possible please capture general shots of each visited village/area, including the good and bad situations. Community in action is also important to be showcased. People should be portrayed as active and self-reliant. We need a variety of portrait and landscape shots. Format The videographer will have to share the video footage in a hard drive/online and video metadata and as separate files within 15 days of completion of the assignment. The file should be in the following format: Person name, village name and state. WaterAid India will share the copyright with the videographer wherever possible. Voiceovers shall be done as per request from the Program teams. Translation in different languages shall also be sought after from time to time depending upon the requirements of the different regions that we are working in.
