Terms of Reference Hiring Agency/Consultant for developing strategy on collaboration and Partnership for ChildFund India Brief about ChildFund ChildFund exists to help deprived, excluded and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to become young adults, parents, and leaders who bring lasting and positive change in their communities. We promote communities whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing, protecting, and advancing the worth and rights of children. A member of ChildFund International, ChildFund India has been representing the voice of underserved children in India since 1951. It is the only development organization of its kind that continuously supports children from birth to young adulthood, through unique intervention models designed around a complete life-cycle approach. The organization’s interventions are aligned with age-specific and contextual needs, based on children’s experiences of deprivation, exclusion, and vulnerability. Its work embraces the following three life stages while the themes of child protection, gender equity, and disaster risk management are integrated into ChildFund India’s programs. Maternal health and early years (age 0-5) Childhood and adolescence (age 6-14) Youth and young adults (age 15-24) ChildFund India’s national office is based in Bengaluru and its program office is in Delhi. It works in 78 districts across 14 States and 1 Union Territory of India. Implementing programs directly and through NGO partners. Brief about the assignment In line with its commitment to achieving greater impact, ChildFund India has developed a new Country Strategic Plan for the period 2022-2026. The plan places a greater emphasis on partnership and collaboration as a key strategy to achieve its goals. The organization recognizes that partnerships are critical to addressing the complex and interconnected challenges that children in India face, and that working together with other stakeholders is essential to driving sustainable change. Our existence is built on the principle of partnership – learning and sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices to create dynamic working relationships that help us expand our reach, achieve maximum and sustainable impact, grow, and innovate. We have significantly invested in strengthening these partnerships. We have been appreciably successful in establishing relations with relevant stakeholders including the communities we work with, district, state and national government bodies, academic institutions, media, funding agencies, like-minded individuals, and corporates to strengthen our systems and bring about long-lasting change. With this major shift in approach, culture, and mindset in our strategy, we will do market research to understand the market and enlist our new partners based on their expertise to have value added role.
