(JSI), a health care consulting and research organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities in the U.S. and around the world. JSI's mission is to improve the health of underserved people and communities and to provide a place where people of passion and commitment can pursue this cause. For 35 years, Boston-based JSI and its affiliates have provided high-quality technical and managerial assistance to public health programs worldwide. JSI has implemented projects in 106 countries, and currently operates from eight U.S. and 81 international offices, with more than 500 U.S.-based professionals and 1,600 host country staff. In India, JSIPL implements and manages several public health projects in the areas of maternal, child and new-born health; supply chain logistics; immunization; and HIV. Starting in the mid1980s, JSI has provided extensive consultation to national, state and local public health initiatives in India. JSI’s comprehensive approach to health systems design and management has improved the quality and efficiency of care in India in the fields of maternal and child health, immunization, supply chain, HIV/AIDS, HMIS, sanitation and access to clean water, outbreak preparedness, and nutrition, at both the national and state levels. Project Overview Under a USAID grant, JSIPL has been mandated to provide technical assistance to the Government of India and state governments of 18 select states and Union Territories to rapidly ramp up COVID-19 vaccination in the country. John Snow India Pvt. Ltd. (JSIPL) is the lead partner to aggregate, coordinate, and support the national and state governments with the technical assistance required to facilitate the scale-up of COVID-19 vaccination in the population, supported by several sub-awardees. MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity (MRITE) is currently engaged in enhancing the coverage of COVID-19 vaccination in India and other countries. It is a vaccination program to protect populations against COVID-19 disease and is currently operational in 18 states. MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity with its 26 NGO partners (non-governmental organization partners) focuses on implementing best practices and exploring innovative ideas for the mass mobilization of vaccine-hesitant communities and unreached populations. The project works towards equitable COVID-19 vaccination coverage by supporting the vaccination of those who experience challenges in reaching out for vaccination or reside in inaccessible areas. JSIPL has zero tolerance for fraud and strictly prohibits bribes, kick-backs, gratuities, and any other gifts in-kind or in monetary form. JSIPL also strictly prohibits collusion (bid rigging) between vendors and between vendors and JSIPL staff. JSIPL selects vendors purely on merit and will only engage vendors who demonstrate strong business ethics. Vendors must not participate in bid-rigging or attempt to offer any fee, commission, gift, gratuity or any compensation in-kind or in monetary form to JSIPL employees. Vendors who do so will be disqualified from doing business with JSIPL. Additionally, JSIPL has a conflict-of-interest policy that requires staff to disclose when there is a potential conflict of interest due to the staff-member’s relationship with a vendor, and if necessary, to refrain from participation in a procurement involving that vendor.
