Having its operation in India for the last 30 years, C3 has emerged as a key change-making organization focused on improving the condition of girls and women in the country. C3’s proven approach to development gives women, young girls and boys equip them skills they need to improve their lives, as well as that of their families and communities. Our programs focus on designing solutions that mobilize, equip, educate and empower women and girls to meet their full potential. About the project : With the support of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, C3 has been implementing the Pragati Mitras project in 12 urban clusters across 10 cities. The primary objective of this initiative is to raise awareness within communities and effectively address issues related to road safety, health and hygiene, environmental sustainability, and provisions under various government schemes. The programming efforts in the urban clusters of these cities are led by dedicated city coordinators known as Pragati Mitras. They closely collaborate with city committees comprising members nominated by CSR and C3. The Pragati Mitras under the project work closely with community leaders, government officials, health facilities, academic institutions, and also contribute to creating volunteering activities opportunities for the corporate employees. These efforts are specifically designed to generate awareness among adolescents, young people and the community regarding road safety, environmental sustainability, health, wellness, as well as on government schemes and provisions. Implementation Geographies: The project is being implemented in 12 urban clusters across 10 cities, namely Guwahati, Patna, Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, New Delhi, and Bengaluru. Objectives of the Assessment: Through interactions with the primary stakeholders (school students, community members), distill the learning accrued through the Pragati Mitra initiative with regard to key themes such as road safety, environmental sustainability, health, wellness, and government schemes and provisions. Document crucial and significant processes integral to the project's success in terms of what was most liked by the primary stakeholders, what caught their interest; what they feel should be added to the program and what in their opinion can be removed Generate evidence for wider dissemination to display the project's impact and success. Scope of Work: The Consultancy is intended to document the impact and processes that are crucial and significant to the project, key learning and achievements since inception and create evidence for larger dissemination and to support future models and intervention efforts. The scope of work for the consultancy involves: The Consultant will be responsible for conducting on-field level data/information collection on the existing program in consultation with the Pragati Mitras (PMs) across 12 clusters as mentioned above (physically or virtually) Conduct Focused Group Discussions, interviews and interactions with key informants to understand the impact, draw lessons learned, and identify divergences from planned project targets. Evaluate the achievements of the program and single out causes for divergences. Document processes and learnings crucial to the implementation of the Pragati Mitra project in narrative form. Develop case stories, especially those showcasing changes and impacts brought about by the project. Work in close coordination with Senior Specialist, Adolescent & Young People at the Centre for Catalyzing Change, New Delhi. Deliverables: An inception document based on situation analysis and spelling out the structure of documentation, methodology and schedule having mention of data collections, interviews/interactions, submission of the draft report and subsequently the final report A draft document narrating the processes and leanings those significant and crucial to the implementation of the project as well as best practices/lessons/case stories that emerged as changes and impacts brought out by the project. Submission of the final document of the process. Creating narrative report and PowerPoint presentation as recommendations available for similar future efforts and model Duration and Administration of the Consultancy: The consultancy is expected to be completed within a period of 45 days from the time of signing of the contract by both parties. The duration includes completion of items outlined as part of ‘Scope of Work’ as well as those spelled out as ‘Deliverables’. Payment Schedule The contract will be deliverable-based and payment will be made after submission of the deliverables as specified in the terms of reference or the contract agreement. The contract amount shall be paid upon completion and submission and acceptance of final documents comprising the key achievements, lessons learnt, success stories and recommendations for future interventions Payments are subject to tax deductions as applicable Qualification and Experience for the consultancy: The consultant having adequate experience in undertaking process documentation, creating policy briefs, and working understanding on themes such as road safety, environmental sustainability, health, wellness, and government schemes and provisions, will be selected to conduct the envisaged qualitative assessment and documentation of processes, learnings, good practices, and success stories.
