A) About Organization Water For People India Trust (hereafter referred to as Water For People – India) came into existence in 2008. WFPIT aims to improve water, sanitation and hygiene conditions in rural areas and urban slums under the impact model - ‘Everyone Forever.’ Water For People India programs have been implemented in the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Assam. Nearly 1.5 million people have been reached through Water, Sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) promotion interventions. Key focus has been on community drinking water and sanitation, WASH in public institutions, and market led approaches to sanitation. Water For People India initiated its operations in India, first in West Bengal in 1996 with a program to address water quality issues in North 24 Parganas and Nadia districts. Since then, within a span of over a decade and half, Water For People – India has emerged in the WASH sector as a pioneer in delivering programs that cater to all the needs of communities, schools, and healthcare centers in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene. Today, Water For People – India is an active member of various state and national committees convened by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MoDWS), Lohiya Swachh Bihar Abhiyan (LSBA), Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, and Mission Nirmal Bangla. Water For People supports water and sanitation programs in Bihar and West Bengal and is recognized widely for its holistic and integrated approach to designing solutions for quality sustainable water and sanitation infrastructure and services. B) Purpose of this Terms of Reference Water For People (WFP) has been working in Amaravati District in Maharashtra for the last five years on Water Sanitation and hygiene and Water Shade management at community level. Water For People India Trust is implementing Water Initiative Project in Chikaldhara block of Amravati district, Maharashtra. The objective of the project was to: access to a more diverse set of safe and sustainable drinking water resources at the community level to strengthen the capacities of the populace and to reduce dependency on ground water. Access to water for drinking and sanitation in select Anganwadi centres, schools and ashramshalas. Collaborations established with local government and stakeholders to leverage resources and ensure implementation of high-quality project. Now, the Water Initiative Project has successfully completed its on-ground implementation and build infrastructure, local institutions and impacts which need to be documented and compiled as the project completion report. Water For People India Trust looking for a Consultant/agency to carry out this documentation processes and deliver a final project completion report. C) Key Tasks The key tasks of the Consultant/Agency would be undertaken in close collaboration with the Project Management team and Experts from Water For people India Trust. To be effective in performing the role, the consultant must be effective in communication, as well as being able to motivate and stimulate the people they work, helping to meet their needs and concerns. Undertake desk review of five years report of ‘Water Initiative Project’ and generate content for the dissemination workshop. Do the documentation of ‘Water Initiative project’ to produce a project completion report in a photobook style with contents on the process and learnings of the project. Coordinate with graphic designer to design project completion report.
Process of completing the task would be to collect all previous reports and materials available with the project, do desk review, develop a draft completion report, share with the project team, and take feedback of Water For People India Trust team, and finalize further. D) Deliverables A consolidated project completion report of the Water Initiative Project. A Photobook illustrating data, Achievement & learning of the Water Initiative Project. E) Basic Requirements At least two-three years of working experience in producing development related documentaries for Govt. or international organizations with the aim of reaching both local audiences. Good at documentation and designing for better visualization of content and messages. F) Timeline and Budget Timeline: The ideal timeline for completion of the task will be 20 January 2024. Budget: Total no. of consultancy days would be 7-10 days, spread over January 2024. The consultant will share a proposal along with the estimated cost of assignment. Payment will be |
