Description - Description: The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority’s annual spring afforestation program involves the planting of approximately 41,000 seedlings on private and public land across its watershed. Most of the seedlings are planted using a trac tor-mounted planter, with some hand planting when necessary. Based on a 4-year running total, there are typically 24 planting sites per year and the average project size is 1,700 trees per planting site.
