Description - Description: SCOPE OF WORK BACKGROUND Jamaica has an estimated HIV prevalence rate of 1.7 percent among the general population. Based on modeled estimates and case-based surveillance data, approximately 26000 individuals are currently living with HIV in the country. Of this number, an estimated 19395 individuals, or 75 percent, are aware of their HIV status. However, there remains a significant gap in the continuum of care, with 15055 of those diagnosed currently receiving antiretroviral therapy and only 11836 individuals achieving viral suppression while on treatment.
