Project Background CHRI is implementing “SAMRIDH- Clinikk” supported by IPE Global. The detailed Scope of works is mentioned in Annexure-A. With the vision of fast-tracking India’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), established a healthcare blended financing facility (named “SAMRIDH”) to support scale up and deployment of high-impact healthcare solutions. IPE along with CHRI/PATH as their technical partner are undertaking pilot commercial validation for select deployment-ready innovations, to enable diagnostics, care, digital health, innovative logistics access to the ecosystem. One such innovative solution for commercial evaluation is Clinikk. Clinikk, since 2019, has been operating as a value-based, managed care company. From just INR 500/month, their subscribers get unlimited access to Clinikk’s 360-degree OPD care, delivered virtually & through its 18 state-of-the-art care centers, and receive free diagnostics and prescription medicine while being covered by cashless health insurance. Clinikk has delivered 360-degree primary care to 1,00,000+ patients virtually & through its 18 state-of-the-art care centers. Clinikk plans to leverage its experience with primary care delivery to create a product that caters specifically to the needs of blue-collar workers and informal sector workers who don’t have access to high quality healthcare. 750 million people today in India are covered by Ayushman Bharat scheme. Various gig workers have access to Ayushman Bharat, but don’t have access to high quality, protocol based primary healthcare for themselves and their families. Quality healthcare will supplement the hospitalization benefits which are provided by Ayushman Bharat, and ensure the families have majority of their out-of-pocket expenses covered. Improving access to primary care delivery will contribute value through the prevention of ill health, reduced costs for families, and a range of intangible benefits to workers like their mental and physical wellbeing. Primary care is also important from the standpoint of business owners, as absenteeism reduces and productivity increases which impacts their business outcomes. The goal of Clinikk is to reduce the cost of outpatient primary care for workers in the informal sector by designing a custom primary care product that adheres to the best practices of managed care while catering to the unique requirements of the community, and ensuring the product is scalable by using Clinikk's technological backbone, thereby lowering the incidence of medically driven impoverishment in the community. The present project is to undertake the data collection tool building, field data collection and reporting for the commercial evaluation of Clinikk at two areas of Bangalore: Bommanahalli and JP Nagar III.
