Description - Description: The Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe owns, among other things, 61 Flexity trams. Of these, 44 are long and 17 are short vehicles. A tram must undergo a major service every 8 years, a so-called general inspection or R1 revision. One maintenance p oint is that the lower joints on 5% of the vehicles must be replaced and inspected. At the beginning of 2024, it was discovered that there was more wear than expected. With the existing personnel resources, this additional work cannot be carried out at the same production rate.
